I forged 2 heart shapes & inserted a copper heart between them then sealed everything up together, followed up with a large grooved & twisted handle with a decorative flame-like wrap at the bottom.
The middle section has 3 reverse twists, this is made by heating & twisting a small section, coolong it off, heating & twisting in the opposite side another small section, etc...
The poker end is formed with smooth curves so you can push the logs with one point or pull with the other.
After cleaning, I clear coated the poker & hook for protection and to keep the raw iron look.
Total length is approximately 33 inches.
Very strong, this item will last a few lifetimes.
