This dragon themed knocker has one mission: save your knuckles...
Well, at least that was his primal purpose but he could also easily pass as a wall hanging forged sculpture.
I recycled a large horseshoe for the base of this door knocker, then hand forged a dragon to make it into a functional door knocker, I added a twist to the dragon's body for a firm grip when actioning the knocker, when not in use, the dragon's body is "hanging loose", ready to strike !
My maker's mark "Naz" is stamped on the dragon's body.
After cleaning, I gave this dragon knocker a dark wax finish, this finish is perfect for inside use but if used outside in the rain, snow, etc... it may require being treated with wax once in a while. (Another option would be to bring it to a paint shop and have it powder coated, which would be the ultimate protection for outside use.
Included are 4 decorative wood screws that match the ironwork.
