*****Please note, this is a "Made to order" listing...The one in the photos above is one I made previously and yours will be based on this one...*****

Approximately 6 1\2" high and 4" wide, this dragon knocker has one mission: save your knuckles...
Well, at least that was his primal purpose but he could also easily pass as a wall hanging forged sculpture.

The dragon started out as 1/4" solid square stock iron and came to life on the anvil under the hammer blows at a yellow/orange heat. Details were then added using hand held punches that I made (eye punch, nostril punch, etc...).

After the head is completed, it's back to the fire to heat and form the body which actually forms a looped handle with a long taper that wraps itself around the body of the dragon.

The wings are hammered all around to give them texture and match the hand forged dragon.
My logo signature "Naz" is stamped on the wings.

I drilled a hole in the dragon's neck to insert the pivot pin so it moves freely allowing the dragon's whole body to rock back and forth in a knocking motion.
The pivot pin is welded to the wings which are secured to the door (or wall) with 2 screws.

The back plate measures 1 1/4" x 1 1/4". It has been hammered all around , this plate is also fixed to the door (or wall) with 2 screws.

After cleaning, I clear coat the sculpture for protection and to keep the raw iron look.

Included are 4 decorative wood screws that match the ironwork.

Thanks for the interest !
